Being trained as a quantitative sociologist and demographer with diverse research interests, I am preparing to teach courses on topics such as Health and Illness, Marriage and Family, Gender and Sexuality, Social Demography, Quantitative Methods, and East & South Asian Societies. 

I enjoy teaching and engaging with students. I can see students' immediate reactions and make adjustments (as compared to waiting months for anonymous reviewers' comments).

My primary goals in teaching include:
  • Engaging students in critical thinking
  • Improving students' abilities in self-learning
  • Promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity
